After leading one of the longest and most closely watched student-led agitations in recent months, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has finally broken his silence following the conclusion of the 37-day Jantar Mantar protest in New Delhi. The agitation, launched over alleged examination irregularities and demands for education reforms, came to an end after the Centre accepted key demands and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down, bringing the month-long protest to a close. In his first public message after the movement concluded, Dipke reflected on the emotional and physical toll of the 37-day campaign. Describing the journey as "really difficult", he revealed that he battled typhoid and high fever during the final phase of the protest but continued to lead the movement despite deteriorating health. Dipke said that ending the Jantar Mantar agitation does not mark the end of CJP's campaign. Instead, he described it as the beginning of a much larger national movement focused on education reforms, transparency and student rights. WATCH

The Delhi government has announced that it will not pursue further adverse legal action against people involved in the NEET protest movement, although the relief does not apply to individuals with criminal antecedents. The NEET protest movement appears to have entered a new phase after activist Sonam Wangchuk welcomed the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, calling it a positive step towards education reform. Meanwhile, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has intensified his criticism of the Centre, alleging that the crackdown on NEET protesters was ordered by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
