A fresh controversy has erupted days after the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) suspended its nationwide protest over the alleged NEET paper leak. The CJP has alleged that students and protesters are still being detained in Assam, West Bengal and Bihar despite the Centre's assurance that no punitive action would be taken. The group has demanded the immediate release of those detained and the withdrawal of FIRs. Meanwhile, a video from Bihar's Siwan district has gone viral, allegedly showing a police constable using an AK-47 during the July 25 Bihar Bandh protests. Following the viral footage, Bihar Police suspended the constable pending investigation.
