As Ram Charan's latest film continues to face massive backlash on social media over the oversexualisation of Janhvi Kapoor's character as the female lead, reports of the actress's paycheque have now surfaced. Earlier, the film's director, Buchi Babu Sana, issued an apology. Besides, the makers also made changes to the movie's objectionable scene. Nevertheless, the debate and backlash surrounding the controversial scenes refuse to slow down.

Janhvi Kapoor's fees for Peddi

Amid this, a report by Bollywood Hungama now suggests that the actress was paid a whopping Rs 8 crore for Peddi, noting that this was the biggest paycheque of her career. A source reportedly told the portal, "This is the biggest pay cheque of her career, and she was a thorough professional on the sets of Peddi. She was paid Rs. 5 crores for Devara, and this is a jump of about 50 per cent from Devara. With back-to-back success in the Telugu film industry with Devara and Peddi, Janhvi is considered to be the woman with a golden leg in the fraternity, commanding a 100 per cent success ratio."
