Heavy rains lashed Mumbai, Thane and other neighbouring areas during the early hours of Tuesday, bringing back wet-weather conditions across several parts of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

While showers continue to lash parts of the city, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a green alert for Mumbai and surrounding areas. The weather agency mentioned that the city and neighbouring regions are likely to experience moderate rainfall throughout the day.
