Mumbai weather update: City on yellow alert as IMD forecasts heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds

According to the IMD's morning weather bulletin issued at 8 am, the city is expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with intermittent spells of light to moderate rainfall. Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places, accompanied by lightning, thunder and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph

Mumbai and neighbouring Thane remain on alert as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and gusty winds across the region on Thursday.
