A police chase in Kashigaon led to the arrest of five members of an armed dacoity gang, with cops seizing two country-made pistols, sharp weapons, and several burglary tools from the accused and the car they were allegedly using.

The case came to light on September 13, when Manikpur police received information regarding an unidentified gang preparing to carry out an armed robbery. Police learnt that the suspects were travelling in a silver coloured Honda City car. Subsequently, a team was formed comprising police personnel and detection officers of Kashigaon and Manikpur police stations to intercept the suspects.
