What if a rejection didn’t end your story? What if it changed it completely? The epic Mahabharata has its share of warriors, battles, characters we cherish, but the story of Shikhandi begins with far more personal; it is a story of a woman who was denied justice. 

Amba was a princess whose life changed after Bhishma took her and her sisters away. Rejected by King Shalv and denied the justice she sought, she turned her anguish into a vow. Reborn first as Shikhandini, and then as Shikhandi, she returned to the epic with one purpose, eventually standing before Bhishma on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.
