We're now three weeks away from the deadline for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Maharashtra, and anxiety over the convoluted process, and the repercussions of missing out is mounting among citizens.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) says the drive is intended to update electoral rolls and ensure that only eligible citizens remain on them.
