India’s women’s hockey team have found a new belief in themselves, veteran goalkeeper Savita Punia said after the side finished fifth at the ongoing World Cup, their best result in more than five decades.

After missing out on the last-four following their goalless draw to Australia, India defeated higher-ranked Germany 3-1. The experienced Savita, who has 319 international caps, said the biggest change is not merely in the results but in the atmosphere inside the dressing room.
