American tennis enjoyed a successful Friday night at the Cincinnati Open as Frances Tiafoe and Brandon Nakashima won their respective quarterfinal clashes to set up an all-American men's semifinal.

Tiafoe defeated Italian Lorenzo Musetti 7-6 (2), 7-5, while Nakashima outlasted fellow countryman Taylor Fritz 7-6, 4-6, 6-3. Their victories mark the first time two American men have reached the final four in Cincinnati since Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish accomplished the feat in 2010.
