Formula 1 racer Valtteri Bottas said he encountered snakes, monitor lizards, and a herd of cows as he cycled from Malaysia, host of last week’s Bahrain Grand Prix, to Singapore for this weekend’s race.

“I saw a cobra, a python, some big lizards, one of which was on the path, I had to jump over it with my bike,” said the Cadillac driver describing his 320km long trip. “I got chased by one dog, got stuck behind a herd of cows on one small track, eventually they moved away,” added the Finn, who left Sepang on Wednesday afternoon.
