The anticipation is soaring as the inaugural season of the Rugby Premier League (RPL) inches closer to kickoff. With less than a week remaining, preparations are in full swing as six dynamic franchises gear up to make a resounding debut. Here’s a look at the international heavyweights who are primed to make an impact in Season 1 of the RPL:

Akuila Rokolisoa – Bengaluru Bravehearts

Fijian-born Akuila Rokolisoa, a cornerstone of New Zealand’s illustrious All Blacks Sevens squad, brings with him unmatched pedigree. The 30-year-old made his international debut in 2018 and has since amassed accolades, including a Gold medal at the Commonwealth Games and being named New Zealand Sevens Player of the Year in 2023. A finalist for the World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year, Rokolisoa made history last year by becoming only the sixth player ever to score over 400 points in a single season.
