Manchester United are close to appointing club legend Michael Carrick as interim manager until the end of the season. Carrick, who earlier had an unbeaten caretaker spell in 2021, is set to replace Darren Fletcher after Ruben Amorim’s dismissal following a poor run of results

Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle to appoint Michael Carrick as interima manager until the end of the season, reports said on Tuesday.
The club great was pictured arriving at the Red Devils’s Carrington training ground, with his appointment soon to be made official.
