In the FIFA World Cup 2026 final against Argentina, Spain emerged victorious by 1-0 at the New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford.
Following the conclusion of the marquee event, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has revealed that more than 1.7 billion people watched the tournament-related videos on YouTube. With this, the 2026 edition became the platform's most-viewed World Cup ever.
