FIFA says they’ve reached a consensus with players’s representatives over a 72-hour rest period between matches, and a minimum of 21 days of holiday at the end of a season.

The decision was taking on Saturday, the eve of the Club World Cup final between PSG and Chelsea.

“This [rest] period should be managed individually by each club and the respective players, taking into account applicable collective agreements,” said FIFA without elaborating on how it would work in practice.
