MSSA inter-school football tournament: Cathedral girls win U-12 title

Riding high on Ivana Nahar’s brace, Cathedral and John Connon (Fort) stunned defending champions Bombay Scottish School (Mahim) 2-0 to clinch the girls U-12 Div-I title in the Dream Sports Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school football tournament at Azad Maidan  on Saturday.

Although Bombay Scottish began on the front foot, the Cathedral girls soon found their rhythm and opened the scoring in the 10th minute through Ivana’s left-footed strike from outside the box that nestled into the top right corner. In the 22nd minute, dribbed past multiple defenders before slotting the ball to make it 2-0.
