<p><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/football/article/uruguay-claim-dramatic-late-win-over-colombia-23430535" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"><strong>Uruguay</strong></a> midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur was banned for seven matches and fined &pound;100,000 ($126,000) on Monday for making an offensive comment about South Koreans in relation to a remark about <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/football/article/tottenham-hotspur-confirm-cristian-romero-to-miss-europa-league-opener-via-suspension-23400078" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"><strong>Tottenham </strong></a>teammate Son Heung-min.</p>
