AIFF suspends Deepak Sharma for alleged physical assault of two women players

Two women footballers of Khad Football Club who took part in the Indian Women's Football League stated that on the night of 28 March, Deepak Sharma entered their room and physically assaulted them. Following the shameful incident, India's Sports Minister Anurag Thakur also asked the board to take quick action against Deepak Sharma

Following the physical assault of two women footballers, the All India Football Federation on Tuesday suspended Deepak Sharma until further notice. Sharma is the executive committee member of the board.
