Having been put to bat first, Team India's swashbuckling Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed 38 runs off 21 balls. His knock was laced with six boundaries and two maximums. Fellow opening batsman Abhishek Sharma departed after scoring seven runs in three balls, including a maximum (Pic: X/@BCCI)

Axar Patel returned to the pavilion after scoring eight runs in 13 balls. Tilak Varma was dismissed on two runs in four balls. Shivam Dube was also dismissed on three runs in nine balls. Ishan Kishan delivered an unbeaten knock of 80 runs off 46 deliveries, which saw him smash four boundaries and five maximums. Along with him, Washington Sundar garnered unbeaten seven runs in three balls, with the help of a maximum. Sri Lanka's Sahan Arachchige and Tharindu Rathnayake bagged two wickets each. Wanuja Sahan, Lasith Croospulle, and Nuwanidu Fernando also claimed one wicket each.
