Tilak Varma made his India debut in the first T20I against the West Indies at the Brian Lara Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad.

The 20-year-old Varma starred for India, scoring a fearless 39 off 22 balls in his maiden outing with the senior team, but the visitors eventually lost by 4 runs.
