Australian captain Pat Cummins has publicly voiced his backing for calls demanding proper medical treatment and uninterrupted family access for former Pakistan skipper and ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Australian captain showed his support for a joint appeal signed by 22 former international cricket captains seeking fair treatment for the legendary cricketer.

Imran's health has been a topic of massive scrutiny in Pakistan over recent weeks, with his sons demanding proper healthcare for the former PM. Although the country's Supreme Court ordered him to be shifted to Islamabad's Shifa Hospital, he was taken to the state-run PIMS instead and returned to prison immediately after his check-up. His sisters and sons have made serious allegations regarding this court order violation, demanding that Imran be allowed to see his personal doctor.
