Sanju Samson continued his extraordinary form in 2026, scoring a majestic 67 off just 33 deliveries as India completed their largest successful T20 chase, overcoming a mid-innings collapse to secure a four-wicket victory in the series opener against New Zealand on Thursday.
After being sent in to bat, New Zealand scored a massive 225/8 after explosive knocks from Finn Allen (45 off 24) and Glenn Phillips (82 not out off 40), exposing Indian bowling vulnerabilities.
