As India gear up to clash against <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ind-vs-sa-2nd-test-simon-harmer-claims-six-wickets-south-africa-clinch-series-by-2-0-against-team-india-23604985" rel="nofollow">South Africa</a> in the three-match ODI series, videos and photos of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni's reunion have been going viral across social media platforms.
In the photo, Dhoni was seen driving Kohli to his hotel personally.

The first of the three ODI matches between <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/mohammed-kaif-reveals-reason-behind-ms-dhoni-virat-kohli-captaincy-success-in-home-tests-23605487" rel="nofollow">Team India</a> and South Africa is scheduled to be played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Jharkhand on November 30th.
Ahead of the series, the "Men in Blue" will miss the services of their lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. The duo have been provided rest as part of their workload management. Additionally, Shubman Gill will also not participate in the series, as he is still recovering from the neck injury that he sustained in the first Test match against the Proteas. On the other hand, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/team-india-batsman-shreyas-iyer-opens-up-on-his-comeback-journey-to-international-cricket-23597764" rel="nofollow">Shreyas Iyer</a> is also recovering from the rib injury and hence will not make his appearance in the contest.
In Gill's absence, KL Rahul will be leading the side. The series will also witness stalwarts Kohli and Rohit Sharma making their return to the format.
It will be interesting to see if the hosts under Rahul's captaincy manage to bounce back after suffering a Test series defeat against the Temba Bavuma-led side.
India will enter the contest after suffering a 0-2 Test series defeat against the Proteas. The visitors registered a famous win by 408 runs at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati. Team India's loss marks their third Test defeat in 16 months under coach <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/gautam-gambhir-to-continue-as-team-india-head-coach-reveals-bcci-source-23605298" rel="nofollow">Gautam Gambhir</a>.
This was the second time in a space of mere 13 months that India ended up whitewashed at home, severely denting their chances of qualifying for the World Test Championship.
