The Indian women's cricket team suffered a major setback on Friday as top-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues was ruled out of both the upcoming Asia Cup and the Asian Games after sustaining a hamstring injury during her stint in England's The Hundred tournament.
Following an evaluation by the medical board, the BCCI confirmed that the 25-year-old suffered a severe muscle injury. In her place, the Women's Selection Committee has named Pratika Rawal as her replacement for the ACC Women's Asia Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Dubai from August 28 to September 13.
