<p>Ahead of the <a href="https://mid-day.com/sports/cricket/photo/in-photos-ipl-2025-gujarat-titans-captain-shubman-gill-completes-5000-t20-runs-105404/1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"><strong>IPL 2025</strong></a> match against Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad's head coach Daniel Vettori confirmed that their premier batsman, Travis Head, has tested positive for Covid-19.</p>
<p>The swashbuckling left-hander will join the team on Monday, after which his availability for the game will be decided.</p>
<p>Speaking in the pre-match press conference, "Travis is coming in tomorrow morning. He was delayed. He actually had COVID, so he could not travel. So he will get in tomorrow morning, and we will assess how he is after that," said Vettori.</p>

<p>The IPL 2025 match between SRH and LSG is scheduled to be played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B Ground.</p>
<p>Currently, the <a href="https://mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/pants-best-game-is-to-score-down-the-ground-but-hes-looking-to-score-behind-sanjay-bangar-23539826" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"><strong>Rishabh Pant</strong></a>-led Lucknow is placed in the seventh position with five wins and six defeats. On the other hand, SRH is placed eighth with seven points and are but out of the IPL 2025 campaign.</p>
<p>The 46-year-old Vettori also spoke about the one-week break all teams received due to the cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.</p>
<p>"I mean, it is twofold. It is a fact that it's a long tournament and that guys have been training hard and working exceptionally well. So, a small break should not affect performance at all. I think guys are coming fresh, excited to be back and ready to, I suppose, compete. So I think there will be no excuses in terms of a break. It will be guys coming back ready to go at it," said SRH's head coach.</p>
<p>Featuring in 10 IPL 2025 innings, Travis Head has smashed 281 runs with an average of 28.10 and a strike rate of 156.11. He also has two half-centuries with a best score of 67 runs.</p>
