India vs West Indies: ICC hands out fines for slow over-rates in third ODI

India and West Indies were fined by the ICC for slow over-rates during the third ODI in New Chandigarh. India were penalised 20% and West Indies 10% of their match fees. Both captains pleaded guilty as the teams now prepare for their five-match T20I series

India and the West Indies were on Monday fined by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for maintaining slow over-rates during the third ODI in New Chandigarh.

While India have been fined 20 per cent of their match fee, the West Indies were docked 10 per cent of their earnings after being ruled four and two overs short of their required over-rates respectively, once time allowances were taken into consideration.
