Team India secured a victory by seven wickets in the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ind-vs-zim-1st-t20i-vaibhav-sooryavanshi-explosive-knock-helps-team-india-secure-win-by-seven-wickets-against-zimbabwe-23641267" rel="nofollow">first T20I match</a> against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club. The "Men in Blue" will now gear up to clash against the hosts in the second match.
Ahead of the match, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ind-vs-zim-1st-t20i-team-india-vaibhav-sooryavanshi-speaks-about-his-fiery-half-century-against-zimbabwe-23641410" rel="nofollow">Team India</a>'s bowling coach Sunil Joshi said that spinner Ravi Bishnoi has made changes to his run-up and is helping him regain his rhythm. Earlier, Bishnoi conceded 29 runs in an over against England.
"It's important to understand that win was a must, which has happened and I'm very pleased with the bowling performances. Bishnoi hasn't changed anything in his action. He has re-aligned the run-up a bit. We've also communicated with (spin bowling coach) Sairaj (Bahutule). So, we've had good conversations with him," he said during the pre-match press conference.
"Eventually, we've seen that he's not even going close to the return crease, which is very pleasing for him, honestly, and for us also," added Joshi.
Further, the bowling coach also said that <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/dad-prashant-backs-suryansh-to-come-good-in-zimbabwe-series-23641121" rel="nofollow">all-rounder Suryansh Shedge</a> has been working on good things and also labelled him as a "rising talent".
"Suryansh is making his place in the Indian team. Hardik (Pandya) has made his place. Shivam (Dube) has made his place. So, Suryansh is a rising talent. We have to persist with him. He's working on good things, good areas. That's what we want in the T20 format," he said.
The second T20I match between Team India and <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/zimbabwe-captain-sikandar-raza-disappointed-with-pitch-conditions-after-loss-against-india-23641360" rel="nofollow">Zimbabwe</a> is scheduled to be played on July 25 at the same venue. The visitors will be eager to secure a series win, as they have already suffered two back-to-back defeats against Ireland and England.
