Following India’s five-wicket loss to the West Indies in the third ODI here on Saturday, the Men in Blue’s skipper Shubman Gill lamented their inability to field their most potent bowling attack due to injuries and scheduling clashes — the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh, among others, were part of India’s gold medal-winning Asian Games squad in Japan.
“I would say it’s been unfortunate, you know, with the injuries and with the scheduling... with the other matches being around, it’s been a little bit unfortunate that we have been not able to play the bowling lineup that we would like to,” Gill said after West Indies gunned down a target of 352 to complete their highest successful chase in ODI cricket.
