The clash is scheduled to be played on July 7 at the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground in Nottingham.

In the previous clash against the "Men in Blue", the Harry Brook-led side registered a four-wicket victory at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Greater Manchester.
With an aim of chasing the target of 191 runs, the "Three Lions" scored 191 runs for the loss of six wickets in 19 overs.
Opening batsman Phil Salt and <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/jos-buttler-hopeful-of-finding-place-in-england-white-ball-squads-after-horrible-t20-world-cup-2026-23621479" rel="nofollow">wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler</a> registered one-ball and three-ball ducks. Captain Harry Brook returned to the pavilion after scoring 39 runs in just 15 balls, which included four boundaries and three maximums.
Tom Banton registered a knock of 39 runs in 32 balls, including six boundaries. Will Jacks and Sam Curran also scored nine and seven runs, respectively. Facing eight balls, Jacks smashed a boundary, whereas Curran also smashed a boundary in his five-ball knock.

His knock was laced with five boundaries and the same number of maximums. Shouldering him was Jofra Archer, who scored an unbeaten 10 runs in seven balls, including a boundary.
Team India's Arshdeep Singh returned with the figures of three wickets for 40 runs in four overs. Harshit Rana, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakaravarthy also bagged one wicket each. Ravi Bishnoi went wicketless in the second T20I match against England.
Having opted to bat first, opening batsman Abhishek Sharma played a stunning knock of 43 runs off 24 deliveries, laced with eight boundaries and a maximum. Fellow <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ind-vs-eng-2nd-t20i-vaibhav-sooryavanshi-debut-cut-short-by-wicket-keeper-jos-buttler-brilliance-behind-the-stumps-23638216" rel="nofollow">opening batsman Vaibhav Sooryavanshi</a>, who made his international debut, scored 14 runs in 10 balls with the help of two maximums.
Skipper Shreyas Iyer departed on 37 runs after facing 22 balls. His knock also included three boundaries and a maximum.

Facing 40 balls, the left-handed batsman garnered 49 runs, including six boundaries. Shivam Dube was dismissed for five runs in seven balls. Axar Patel also departed on two runs in three balls. Harshit Rana scored six runs in three balls, which included a maximum. Tilak Varma stayed unbeaten on 24 runs, which came in 11 balls with the help of a boundary and two maximums. With this, the "Men in Blue" posted a total of 190 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.
England's Sam Curran returned with the figures of three wickets for 33 runs in four overs. Jofra Archer, Will Jacks, and Liam Dawson also claimed one wicket each. Josh Tongue and Adil Rashid went wicketless in the second T20I match against the "Men in Blue".
The visitors will heavily rely on their star pacer Arshdeep Singh to strike early wickets against the Englishmen.
