Cricket Club of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/t20-world-cup-2026-sanjay-bangar-backs-team-india-fearless-batting-despite-wobble-against-usa-23616151" rel="nofollow">India</a> (CCI) clinched the Vijay Manjrekar&ndash;Ramakant Desai T20 tournament, organised by Shivaji Park Gymkhana, with a 31-run victory over Islam Gymkhana in the final at Shivaji Park on Saturday.
CCI received a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000, while runners-up Islam Gymkhana got Rs 50,000.&nbsp;
CCI posted 197-7 in 20 overs before Islam Gymkhana were bowled out for 166 in 18.4 overs.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, ex-Test umpire Madhav Gothoskar and former <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/india-oldest-test-cricketer-cd-gopinath-passes-away-at-the-age-of-96-23625003" rel="nofollow">Test</a> cricketer Chandu Patankar were honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the hands of former India cricketer Sandeep Patil. Parsee Gymkhana and Karnatak SA were the losing semi-finalists.
