Former Mumbai and India captain Dilip Vengsarkar reckons the Cricket Club of India’s (CCI) Brabourne Stadium — his favourite venue — is one of the best cricket grounds in the world.
Vengsarkar, a veteran of 116 Tests, was speaking after felicitating the CCI team for winning their fifth Dr HD Kanga Cricket League Division ‘A’ title — their first in 35 years. “I always enjoyed playing here for Mumbai and West Zone because we won many matches at this ground. This was one of my favourite grounds because in the six first-class games I played here, I scored four hundreds,” Vengsarkar said at a function on Sunday.
