A deadly explosion at a police compound in Kohat, Pakistan, has killed at least 16 people and injured more than 50 others. The blast took place as worshippers gathered for Friday prayers, with an explosives-laden vehicle reportedly crashing into the gate of the old police lines. Among those killed were civilians and police personnel, while one suspected terrorist was also reportedly killed following the explosion. Hospital officials confirmed that multiple bodies were brought in following the attack. The Kohat police compound blast comes amid heightened security operations against militant groups in Pakistan. A major weapons discovery in southern Lebanon is putting fresh focus on the fragile Israel-Lebanon ceasefire. The Israel Defense Forces says troops operating in the south Lebanon buffer zone discovered a Hezbollah fighting position containing a rocket launcher and 32 rockets that were reportedly ready for use against Israeli territory. The IDF says the launch pads had been left in place before the ceasefire agreement took effect. Soldiers also discovered a Hezbollah hideout containing a tunnel shaft.
