A major probe is underway after a chilling incident aboard a flydubai flight bound from Dubai to Tel Aviv, with investigators examining allegations that co-pilot Al-Hammami had previously considered crashing a passenger jet into Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport. The case has now drawn the attention of Shin Bet investigators as the UAE-led probe examines the alleged terror plot, the co-pilot’s reported motives and what happened inside the cockpit. According to the allegations under investigation, Al-Hammami had searched for airlines operating flights to Israel and allegedly considered hijacking and crashing an earlier Tel Aviv-bound aircraft before joining flydubai. Investigators are also examining claims that he cited “revenge for Gaza” and a desire to die as a martyr during questioning.

The Omani Flydubai co-pilot Al-Hammami allegedly plotted to kill the captain and crash the aircraft into an Israeli target, with Ben Gurion Airport reportedly identified as the primary target. The co-pilot is accused of launching a sudden attack on Indian Captain Machchhar over Jordan while the aircraft was approaching Israel. According to the reported details, Al-Hammami allegedly intended to overpower the captain, take control of the aircraft and carry out a 9/11-style crash. Investigators reportedly believe he had also considered a Tel Aviv skyscraper or a US military base in Jordan as possible alternative targets. The alleged plot is said to have been prepared in advance, with a June trip to Israel reportedly used to gather intelligence and study the intended target. Reports indicate that the co-pilot had flown to Ben Gurion Airport multiple times while allegedly preparing for the attack. WATCH
