India delivers a sharp message on terrorism at the 81st United Nations General Assembly as External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar warns against attempts to normalise terrorism or claim immunity from its consequences. Without naming Pakistan in his UNGA speech, Jaishankar referred to a “serial practitioner of terrorism” and said governments involved in cross-border terrorism must face accountability. He also reiterated India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism and its right to defend itself.
