A six-month-old tiger cub at Sanjay Gandhi National Park died after battling Feline Infectious Peritonitis, a rare viral disease. Officials said the remaining four cubs are stable and the park has strengthened biosecurity measures to prevent further spread

The six-month-old cub was undergoing medical treatment for a last few weeks. Bajirao, the cub's father, had killed eight people in a span of 21 months at Rajura in Chandrapur. He was later captured by the Rajura Forest Department in Chandrapur Circle in 2020 and sent to captivity at SGNP
