Israel’s underground campaign in Gaza continues as the IDF says it has dismantled a roughly 1-kilometre Hamas tunnel in northern Gaza. Footage released by the Israeli military shows troops operating heavy drilling equipment at night to locate, map and destroy the underground route. The IDF says more than 26 kilometres of tunnels have been neutralised since the ceasefire began in October 2025.

The Israeli Defense Forces say they have killed multiple Hamas operatives in separate strikes across Gaza, including an anti-tank unit commander and a Hamas commander accused of holding Israeli hostages. In a strike on the Al-Shati area of northern Gaza, the IDF says it eliminated Bilal Ibrahim Saleh Raqi'i, identified as a commander in Hamas's military wing's anti-tank array. The IDF also said Azzam Rifaat Abd Abadala, described as an operative in Hamas's Khan Younis Brigade, was killed in a separate strike in southern Gaza. In another operation in Khan Younis, Israel says it killed Ismail Mohammed Ibrahim Barim, a Hamas military-wing commander who allegedly participated in holding Israeli hostages Edan Alexander, Matan Zangauker and Avera Mengistu in an underground tunnel in southern Gaza.
