Israel delivers a major blow to Hamas with back-to-back strikes in Gaza. Hamas’s Rafah Brigade commander Nael Abu Obeid is killed in an Israeli airstrike, according to Israeli officials. Separately, the IDF says Ahmad Batash, commander of Hamas’s Jabaliya Battalion, is also killed in a strike in northern Gaza. The latest strikes target key figures in Hamas’s command structure, with Israeli officials saying the pressure on senior Hamas commanders is continuing. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz also issue a warning following the strikes. 

A fresh round of violence has erupted along the Israel-Lebanon border after Israeli soldiers were wounded in a grenade attack during military operations in southern Lebanon, further intensifying tensions as the regional conflict approaches the 1,000-day mark. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), officers and soldiers came under attack near Beit Yahoun when a gunman allegedly threw grenades and opened fire from inside a building. Israeli troops returned fire, and the attacker was later killed during the exchange. Following the incident, the IDF said forces from the 769th Brigade, supported by the 91st Division, carried out air and artillery strikes targeting what it described as Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. Reports also indicated military activity around Beit Yahoun and Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa as cross-border hostilities continued. WATCH
