Following the Garib Nagar demolition drive, Mumbai Traffic Police and the RPF have launched a joint initiative to improve traffic flow around Bandra East station. The plan includes removing encroachments, clearing abandoned vehicles, creating dedicated lanes and improving pedestrian movement

According to Western Railway officials, all Slow-line suburban services will be diverted to the Fast lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central during the block period to facilitate the maintenance work
