A 40 mm-thick mastic asphalt wearing course has been laid on the bridge carriageway. BMC said the material typically appears rough and patchy immediately after application, particularly when laid in sections, but gradually becomes smoother and more uniform with regular vehicular movement

According to the BMC, the issue was brought to public attention by local resident Harsh Choubey, who shared videos and photographs on Instagram showing dust, garbage and deteriorating conditions at the skate park located near Gold Cinema under the Hindmata flyover
