Afghanistan is reeling after devastating flash floods strike Nuristan province, leaving at least 23 people dead and more than 100 missing. Rescue teams continue searching through mud, rubble and collapsed homes as authorities race to find survivors, while forecasters warn of more extreme weather across the country. 

India has issued a strong response to Pakistan's latest rhetoric over the Indus Waters Treaty, making it clear that the agreement will remain in abeyance until Islamabad credibly and irrevocably ends its support for cross-border terrorism. Responding to Pakistan's recent threats over water sharing, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said New Delhi's position remains unchanged and rejected Pakistan's aggressive posturing.
