In his press release, Satish Salian challenges several statements and claims he says were made about his pursuit of justice in Disha Salian’s death case. He alleges that his campaign was portrayed as politically motivated and disputes statements concerning the investigation and earlier legal proceedings. The notice seeks ₹500 crore in damages and puts several of Satish Salian’s allegations on record.

The Disha Salian case is back in focus after the CBI registers a fresh FIR and begins a new investigation following the Bombay High Court’s order. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray breaks his silence, saying he never met or knew Disha Salian. He describes the repeated linking of his name to the case as an attempt at “character assassination” and calls for the fresh investigation to proceed without political distractions.
