A magnitude 5.7 <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/live-blog/mumbai-news-live-updates-april-11-news-updates-live-updates-weather-update-bmc-maharashtra-budget-mumbai-crime-news-mumbai-weather-updates-mumbai-local-news-mumbai-civic-news-mumbai-local-trains-mumbai-metro-bmc-mumbai-weather-maharashtra-politics-18331690" rel="nofollow">earthquake </a>struck Nevada east of the state&rsquo;s capital of Carson City on Monday.
The temblor hit just before 6.30 pm local time, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.
It was centred near the town of Silver Springs at a depth of 5 km. The shaking continued for about a minute.&nbsp;
The USGS said some residents in nearby communities reported strong to very strong shaking and light to moderate damage.
