United States bill seeks up to USD 250,000 penalties for serious H-1B violations

A Republican lawmaker has introduced legislation that would raise penalties for serious H-1B visa violations to as much as $250,000, extend some employer sponsorship bans to at least 10 years and sharply increase fines for immigration document fraud.
