Habitual coffee drinking has been linked to lower risks of Type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

A study by University of Oulu, Finland, of 2264 adults, found higher coffee intake correlates with reduced total and visceral fat, greater muscle mass (despite similar BMIs), and lower branched-chain amino acid levels — biomarkers linked to insulin resistance.
