Nepal flood death toll reaches 359, over 900 missing in Bhote Koshi disaster

Nepal’s Bhote Koshi River flood has killed 359 people and left over 900 missing, including hundreds of foreign nationals, as rescue teams search affected areas and hydropower projects

Nepal Police confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the death toll from Wednesday’s massive Bhote Koshi River flood has reached 359 with over 900 still missing. Originating in the Tibetan region of China, the flood swept through Nepal, causing extensive destruction to human settlements, customs offices, and electricity infrastructure.
