Anime conventions are already known for being absurd and wild, but this one just levelled up, with cosplay models selling actual “feet juice”. This concoction is essentially fruit juice served from plastic buckets in which the models had had their feet dipped in. Prices ranged from USD 10 to USD 15 (Rs 900 - Rs 1500) for a full cup to premium experiences that included options where customers could drink the juice directly dripping down from the models’ feet. 

The incident took place in downtown San Jose, California, this week with reports stating that the “feet juice” sold out in less than an hour. These stands were not an official part of this year’s Fanime Con, but of an outdoor event known as Parkon, where anyone could show up and do whatever they wanted. Videos online even indicate that alcohol such as vodka and Everclear were a part of the drink, which the cosplayers claimed they were using to sanitise their feet.
