Remember the dessert Banana Split? Well, Steve Braithwaite, an England-born Michigan resident, realised that sweetness won&rsquo;t work with the police when they pulled him over in his banana-shaped car on Tuesday on Interstate 90 near Billings, Montana.

Now, most people would think that Braithwaite got pulled over for his unique car, but that wasn&rsquo;t the case. Officers noticed the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/maharashtra-poor-response-behind-august-15-extension-plates-yet-to-be-fitted-on-1-5-cr-vehicles-across-state-23577152" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">licence plate</a> read &ldquo;SPLIT&rdquo;.&nbsp;
Braithwaite originally used the vehicle to promote his advertising business, but recently sold most of his belongings and became a full-time &ldquo;banana car nomad&rdquo;, travelling across USA in the vehicle. He was ultimately released without a ticket.

On Monday, a semi-truck carrying 22,679 kg of bees overturned in Texas, US, releasing an estimated 20 lakh of them into the surrounding area and prompting authorities to warn residents to stay indoors. The truck driver was not injured, though at least one news photographer covering the scene was reportedly stung.

Joseph McGrail-Bateup, a 58-year-old Australian town crier, set a new <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-lezim-dance-by-9111-women-in-dombivli-creates-new-guinness-world-record-23619914" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Guinness World Record</a> for the loudest shout by a person, reaching 122.4 decibels. The record was recognised on Tuesday. The sound level was compared to that of a chainsaw or a jet aircraft taking off at close range. Yikes!
