Several news outlets highlighted that quick-commerce companies have done away with the ‘10-minute-delivery’ claim after the intervention of Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya over concerns for the safety of delivery partners.
The minister had met with officials from Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy, and Zomato. After that, he told companies to eliminate rigid delivery time promises to protect workers. Media reports state that these tight delivery times are putting pressure on delivery riders, and these then compromise their safety on the roads, to stick to the timeline.
