Indian pilot Smit Machchhar, who is recovering in a UAE hospital after being injured during an incident aboard a flydubai flight, became emotional while speaking to Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi over the phone on Friday and told him that he was his “biggest idol”.

Machchhar received a call from PM Modi earlier in the day, during which he enquired about the Indian pilot's health and wished him a speedy recovery.
