<p>This comes at a time when Italy&rsquo;s foreign policy choices especially its refusal to join certain military alignments in sensitive regions and denying <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/world-news/article/us-israel-attack-iran-italy-denies-united-states-the-use-of-sigonella-air-base-23623490" rel="nofollow">Sigonella air base</a></strong> have drawn criticism from multiple global leaders, including Donald Trump, who publicly expressed disappointment over her stance.</p>
<p>Doubling down, Meloni made her position clear: &ldquo;We&hellip; have no strings, no masters and take no orders. Our compass remains&hellip; the interest of Italy.&rdquo; This statement was followed by immense mocking by the Italians in the comment section.</p>
